Terms of Service

1. What this service is

Sophrosyne Systems operates the AI Fluency Assessment ("the Service") at platform.sophrosynesystems.org: a paid, individual, auto-graded exam of 40 questions across four sections, scored out of 800. Purchasing an assessment gives you one attempt, taken in a single sitting, graded automatically the moment you submit.

2. Your account

You need an account to take an assessment. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide an email address you actually control.

3. Purchases and attempts

An assessment purchase grants one attempt, consumed the moment you start it. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. See our Refund Policy for what happens if you want your money back.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share, publish, or otherwise distribute the assessment's questions, choices, or answer key.
• Attempt to access another person's account or assessment results.
• Use automated tools to complete an assessment on your behalf.
• Interfere with the Service's operation, including attempts to bypass the payment or access-code system.

5. Your score, and what it doesn't promise

Your score reflects your performance on this specific assessment at the time you took it. It is not a guarantee of employment, promotion, or any other outcome, and we make no claim about how any third party (an employer, an institution) will interpret or weigh it.

6. Intellectual property

The assessment content, scoring methodology, and the Service itself are the property of Sophrosyne Systems. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable right to take the assessment; it does not grant you any rights to the underlying content.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sophrosyne Systems is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any decision made by you or a third party based on your score.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
